Little Marie is turned into a maid, a Cinderella, by her stepmother, while her stepsister Clothilde is pampered. One day, Prince Leonhard and his friend Peter appear, both disguised as servants, and present Clothilde with an invitation to a masked ball. Cinderella falls in love with Leonhard and fights to be allowed to go to the ball because she wants to see her supposed servant again. However, the ambitious stepmother only gives her own daughter a beautiful dress. But the magic tree on Marie's mother's grave throws down a beautiful dress. Cinderella shines at the ball and enchants the prince, but just before midnight, before the spell expires, she flees. Will the prince be able to love a Cinderella?

Since Mrs. Blok suffers from dementia, she rarely leaves the house and spends most of her day watching the family happiness of her neighbors: Eva, her husband and their two teenage children lead a harmonious family life after moving into the house next door and Ms. Blok takes a big emotional part of it. Her health condition improves as a result. But because of her good powers of observation, she also noticed one day as the first fine signs that the family happiness is wavering. Mr Blok, who states that his wife is now doing much worse, then decides to intervene - with fatal consequences for both families.

This doesn't always go down well with his superior Dorn - a former refuse collector who has made it to the top. What nobody suspects yet: Dorn is planning modernization measures.

A trained theologian with a truck driver's license joins Werner Träsch's team. Former pastor Matthias is surprisingly good at tackling difficult tasks. But he can't hide the fact that he is in trouble for long: His ex-girlfriend Anna makes it impossible for him to see their five-year-old daughter Lotte, despite having joint custody.

Waselitzki plans to rent out the apartments in order to then rent them out again at a higher price. Träsch and his colleagues want to prevent this with all their might.
