Georg Wilsberg is an antiquarian in MĂĽnster. He used to be a lawyer but lost his license. Since then he has been working as a private detective. The always clammy Wilsberg urgently needs this income. In addition, he depends on the support of his friends, especially because of the car.
A leather jacket and eyes blackened with make-up. Tommy is a musician with heart, having long outlived his idol, Kurt Cobain. Like him, though, he is also self-destructive and is drawn increasingly into a musical mania and alcohol excess. For the dream of a record contract, promised to the winner of local band contest, he will go to any lengths. The driven individual stops for no one – be it others or himself.
Since Mrs. Blok suffers from dementia, she rarely leaves the house and spends most of her day watching the family happiness of her neighbors: Eva, her husband and their two teenage children lead a harmonious family life after moving into the house next door and Ms. Blok takes a big emotional part of it. Her health condition improves as a result. But because of her good powers of observation, she also noticed one day as the first fine signs that the family happiness is wavering. Mr Blok, who states that his wife is now doing much worse, then decides to intervene - with fatal consequences for both families.
The documentary addresses the questions, who are the film industry’s female faces? What are their voices, which experiences have they had, and above all: What do they wish for the future? In an interview format, the documentary focuses on the protagonists and their individual experiences. The ensemble includes nearly 30 actors, writers, directors, and producers. By means of personal conversations, the audience gains an intense and authentic insight into the lives of those working in film. During the filming in the following year, male-diverse participants were also invited to create a multifaceted discourse. The topics include structural and individual issues such as gender equality, power structures, female diversity, and much more. In dialogue with the participants, the documentary looks toward the future: Where are there promising approaches already, where are the opportunities for (self-)empowerment, and how can we initiate change, both individually and collectively?
Penniless Peter Munk toils day after day as a charcoal burner in the Black Forest. In order to finally achieve the wealth he longs for and thus get closer to his previously unattainable crush Lisbeth, he turns to two mysterious forest spirits with his wishes. While the cranky little glass man can't really help him, the sinister Dutchman-Michel promises him an end to his financial worries. However, he demands Peter's heart in return and puts a cold stone in his chest instead. Although he can now afford everything and finally take Lisbeth as his wife, Peter no longer has any compassion, which soon has devastating consequences not only for himself but also for his fellow human beings.
Little Marie is turned into a maid, a Cinderella, by her stepmother, while her stepsister Clothilde is pampered. However, the ambitious stepmother only gives her own daughter a beautiful dress. But the magic tree on Marie's mother's grave throws down a beautiful dress. Cinderella shines at the ball and enchants the prince, but just before midnight, before the spell expires, she flees. Will the prince be able to love a Cinderella?
