Two poor friends live together and hope to earn some money to marry their beloved ones. When they discover a jar full of pounds in a building site, their lives change.

Loukis, after a successful break-in, manages to escape the police chase thanks to a younf flower seller named Krinoula who introduces herself as "Little Mouse". He will take her with him in his hideout where he lives with Vangelis, Hristina and their gang leader Costas. Loukis wants to live an honest life and so he rents a room with the Little Mouse and tries to astart over. Costas though is not yet ready to see his criminal gang disband...

An honest and sensitive girl who lives with her grandmother, Lena Petri, believes that the man she loved has deceived her in a despicable way. Disappointed, she throws herself in front of a car. When she recovers, she falls in love with him, but is forced to suppress her feelings when she learns that he is engaged to a ruthless social climber who will stop at nothing to climb the social ladder. However, a journalist who is well acquainted with Athenian high society helps the innocent Lena get together with Varna.
