Biography
Tyler Funk is a Canadian writer and director based in Vancouver, British Columbia. He and his brother Kevan grew up in Banff, Alberta. He holds a BFA in Film Production from the University of British Columbia. He is the creator and showrunner of White Ninja, a narrative Vine series based web comic created by Scott Bevan and Kent Earle. Funk is the Creative Director of North of Now, a Vancouver-based creative production and digital consultant agency.

In protest of the injustices that her people have faced throughout the history of Canada, Miyawata sits down instead. But will she be able to persuade the head teacher to change the school’s land rights acknowledgement? Miyawata is also the organiser of school climate strikes in her hometown. The climate movement in Winnipeg had enormous momentum until Covid hit, and now that the end of the pandemic is in sight, she wants to get the movement going again.
