Kevin Patterson
Acting
Biography
Kevin Stuart Patterson was born on a dairy farm in rural Maine to David and Lena Patterson. He enjoyed acting in high school musicals and later earned his BA in Theater from the University of Southern Maine. After graduating, Kevin moved to Jerusalem and worked in broadcast journalism and voice-overs. In the hot summer of 1987, he walked into a casting office in Tel Aviv in a three-piece wool suit to audition for the part of Professor Cyril Watson in Thieves in the Night; his English accent and mannerisms won him the role and launched his film and TV career. Over the next seven years, he acted in film, television, and theater in Jerusalem and Tel-Aviv. A long detour brought Kevin back to the work in 2025 when, at a farmers' market in Vermont, he met a director (Andy Comeau) casting a short independent film, Trad Brad. Kevin played Jasper in the ensemble cast, and the film won awards at the Vermont Film and Folklore Festival and the LA Sci-fi FilmFest. That experience confirmed that doing the work, whether for a Hollywood feature or a college student film, is what brings him joy.
