The family consists of Géza, the father, a comical and inept figure, his wife Paula who actually dominates family affairs, pubertal daughter Kriszta and 12-year-old son Aladár, a child prodigy. The cat Maffia and a dog, Blöki accompany the family. Dr. Máris, their cynical neighbour, is regularly and unvoluntarily involved in disasters surrounding the family.

Every night Aladár visits a different inhabited planet using an inflatable interstellar cosmic ship with his talking dog Blöki.

A school teacher becomes a momentary hero after having rescued a stuffed-bird from a school incident.

Set in the "Golden Era" of the wandering Hungarian theatre troupes. Mariska and Liliomfi fall in love without suspecting that Mariska's foster father, Professor Szilvay, is also Liliomfi's uncle. Soon the couple must contend with the professor's plan to make Liliomfi give up his "unrespectable" profession of acting by exposing the professor's hypocrisy, greed, and tyrannical selfishness.

In 1963 in Tihany, somebody addresses the writer Gábor Náday. He is reminded of a night drive in 1944 that saved his life. Painful memories start coming to Náday.

Queen Guinevere sadly complains to her beloved handmaiden Peggy that her husband, King Arthur, has neglected her for years. The King spends all his time on the platform of the knight's tower or at the famous 'round table'. The women figure that only the good old wizard Merlin can help. Merlin sends Guinevere a powerful magic potion that will help her win back Arthur's love. The ladies bake the potion into a pudding, but it is accidentally eaten by Arthur's favorite knight, Lancelot. To complicate matters, Peggy is in love with Lancelot, but the knight's overdose of magic causes him to fall madly in love with the queen.

“I need a dog!" says Gabi, the main character in the film, to her parents. Every child has either a dog or a brother or sister! Well, if not a brother or sister, then a dog. I mean, a stray dog. "Who" can be rescued, taken into "shared care", looked after, fed, played with. But what happens when it turns out that the "common dog" - which a group of children have banded together to feed and care for - has a legal owner? And she is an old lady, whose only companion in her loneliness is this dog.

Nagy István, the formerly poor peasant boy returns to his native village as a teacher. His conviction is that the abyss between rich and poor can be diminished by good will. The rich Böröcz Horváth Klári returns his love, and also Böröcz Horváth is willing to help the poorest family, the Bakos. Bakos Jóska, who was sent to serve the tough Böröcz Horváth as a payment, dies of an infected wound and the people in the village hold the teacher liable as well. Nagy István realises, that the abyss cannot be ceased, what is more, it is impassable. He breaks up with his fiancée and stands by the side of the poor.
