In four stories inspired by humorous tales by Ariano Suassuna, each created based on phrases by the poet from Paraíba, we meet Helder, Fabiano, Pierce and Lorena, living different situations where, ironically, the lie is always the protagonist.

Present in nearly all cultures and used for many purposes, drums have unique shapes, sounds, names and accents in each region of the world. Behind this vast legacy are individuals who play them and are touched by these ancestral instruments. From the rare budimas used by Tonga people in Zambia to the large drums of the Chinese temples, from the religious festivals of Brazil to the rhythmic richness of the Arab World, these men and women keep this tradition alive.

"Cute Exorcist," tells the story of two excommunicated priests who are pursued by a sect of evil in search of an artifact that can defeat Lucifer, the prince of darkness.

Maria Bethânia takes her poetic narrative to Mozambique for the first time. The interpreter presents excerpts of works connected by different forms of expression in the Portuguese language. With testimonies from Mia Couto, José Agualusa and several Mozambican and Angolan writers and literary critics, the documentary shows the development of literature in these countries, delving on its importance during the anti-colonial resistance, the connection with native languages, the oral traditions and the influence of Brazilian writers.

Aracy Moebius de Carvalho was head of the passport sector at the Brazilian consulate in Hamburg, Germany. There he met - and fell in love - with the writer Guimarães Rosa and processed several things to emigrate to Brazil, escaping Nazism. Aracy passed away forgotten, victim of Alzheimer's, but remains alive in the memory that only exists today thanks to her insubordination.

What is the influence of Jazz on Brazilian music and the influence of Brazilian music on Jazz? The documentary Zuza Homem de Jazz draws a parallel between the two universes, featuring the renowned Brazilian musicologist Zuza Homem de Mello as the protagonist. It offers an intimate look at the writer and music journalist and highlights his long connection with Jazz, that dates back to the 1950’s, when Zuza was a student at the Julliard School of Music. The film was also shot in New York, where Zuza meets old friends in the jazz circuit and revisits memorable stories.
