Seven seemingly unconnected fairy tales - glued together only by folklore, mood, color and light - make up this Czech collection of visual poetry. The original piece of literature, written by Karel Jaromír Erben in 1853, contained twelve tales.

A dark and absurd road-movie comedy in which the grandmother fulfills a dream, the mother stops treating her daughters like kids, the daughters stop treating their husbands like idiots, and the father's ashes get spread all over the country.

The concert, recorded on November 28, 2022, at the SONO Music Club in Brno, is the culmination of Dan Bárta & Illustratosphere's concert tour for their joint fifth studio album, Kráska a zvířený prach (Beauty and Stirred Dust). This mutually inspiring and authentically creative community of musicians included not only new songs in the program, but also a selection of some older atmospheric hits from their more than twenty-year musical career. Even a college education does not protect against temptation—the young hero ceases to distinguish between right and wrong, but strangely enough, even his education does not help him to detect the fraud committed against him in time. Michal Najman, a student at the University of Economics, earns extra money as a pest controller. After being accused of exterminating expensive nutria, he signs a bond for a considerable amount of money. He naively agrees to repay the large debt without verifying its validity. He does not have the money and decides to obtain it through currency exchange and later through theft. And so, the initially blameless young man sinks deeper and deeper...

Every year, prominent actors from the animal kingdom gather on the magic carpet to present film awards. The lion king keeps order, and Bobo the platypus provides entertainment. His performances are interspersed with films called La Fontaine's fables. The organization runs smoothly, even though each performer's act has its own charm of awkwardness.

Bára Poláková's Live Music Film will create a diverse mosaic of feelings, ideas, and experiences of the performer that inspired her songs. It will reflect on the time of isolation, when we lose track of the days of the week and our place in the world. Time that we have to ourselves. And above all, time for reunion and sharing. In a single space, we will give each song its own story – whether through different scenography, choreography, or narration. Let yourself be surprised by famous guests, the play with space, and new contexts for lesser-known and more familiar songs.
