Biography
Bengali film director Birsa Dasgupta (born November 2) started his career by assisting in Hindi television and movies. He worked as a unit director on Anurag Kashyap's crime film Black Friday. However, he realized that he would rather work in the Bengali film industry and moved back to Kolkata. Upon returning to Tollygunge, he directed Jaani Dekha Hobe (2011), Golpo Holeo Shotti (2014), Shudhu Tomari Jonyo (2015), Crisscross (2018), Mukhosh (2021) and Byomkesh O Durgo Rohoshyo (2023).
