One mistake by the God of Fortune changes the fates of Mui Choi Gon and Wong Bak Man. Wong Bak Man becomes rich and prosperous, while Mui Choi Gon's wife and daughter leaves him and he now runs a street noodle shop alone. One day, Mui Choi Gon meets Wong Bak Man's son, Wong Chiu Choi, and the two of them feel an inexplicable bond. But because of his father's objection, Wong Chiu Choi, along with his bodyguard can only help out Mui Choi Gon in secret. Wong Chiu Choi makes special arrangements for Mui Choi Gon's god-daughter, Lin Chi Yung, to go work at his father's company. It turns out that Wong Chiu Choi is the incarnation of the God of Fortune. Although he has lost his magic powers, he still brings good luck to the people around him.
After his girlfriend died in a car crash, sorrowful psychologist Chung Tai Yin spends five years investigating the truth of the incident. His girlfriend once conducted a psychological assessment for a schoolyard murderer. Her report indicated that he lacked a motive or violent tenancies. During the course of his investigation, Chung Tai Yin meets Tung Yat, a genius with Asperger syndrome, and his sister Tung Yuet, whom he is mutually dependent with. Tung Yat's lack of social skills gives Tung Yuet a lot of trouble. Many years ago, it even caused police officer Wu Tin Yeung's undercover mission to fail. But because of Chung Tai Yin, they eventually become friends and help Chung Tai Yin with finding the true killer. Wong Hoi Ching, a witness in the case who could not be contacted for many years, suddenly appears and visits the murderer in prison, causing drastic changes in the case.

Fai is a 39-year old lighting electrician. Married with a 3-year old daughter, Fai is no longer in love with his wife who seems more capable and more the head of the family. 20 years ago, Fai just got into university and was dating Ming Mei, a banker's daughter who lived on Mid-Levels. A landslide took Ming Mei's life and afterwards Fai married Ming Mei's roommate. One stormy day a mystery old phone booth appears on the road where Fai is working. To his surprise, Fai dials through to Ming Mei from 20 years ago. Soon today's Fai is calling Ming Mei every stormy day and his younger self feels threatened by the strange caller. Realising his fault, Fai sets out to contact himself from 20 years ago to clear up the misunderstanding and maybe even save Ming Mei from the landslide and change the course of his eventual unhappy marriage.
