As the investigation continues, more graves are discovered, each containing a buried female body along with what appears to be a personal item. It is now clear that a horrific serial killer is rampaging in the area. The police are very puzzled and cannot find a connection between the victims other than that they are middle-aged women. At the same time, Irene begins to feel persecuted...

Several dead bodies have been found in Gothenburg striking fear into the city's population. We follow Goran Lidman who will head the task of tracing the offender. Clues lead to suspicions of an occult group. The former reverend Gabriella, who has her own reasons for wanting to stop the killings, offers Lidman her help.
