Biography
Born from Chilean parents, Théo Court (1980) grew up in Spain and Chile. In 1999, he started an education in photography in Madrid. In 2000, he returned to Chile where he began his film studies at the Arcis University. In 2004, he graduated in Directing at the International School of Film and TV in Cuba. He developed the script of his first feature film, Ocaso (2010), with the support of IFFR's Hubert Bals Fund. The film premiered in Rotterdam. Blanco en blanco (2019) is his second feature film.
Known For

Rafael, an old butler of a decadent farmhouse, lives with his landlord in that space. He develops a series of actions and daily routines that resume a life and a glorious family past. These actions and gestures will become the only way of sustaining that home and those lives humbled in memory. With the decline of that environment, Rafael will be underdog of his place and his own story, and will be forced to leave in an uncertain trip, towards the last of his possessions.
Ocaso

In the prelude of the twentieth century, Pedro arrives in Tierra del Fuego, an hostile and violent territory, to immortalise the marriage of a powerful landowner. Fascinated by the beauty of the bride-to-be, he betrays the rules and is left to face the land, crawling with violence and marked by the genocide of the land indigenous.
White on White

A Desired Day

Born in a lonely wasteland, three characters live together: a man, a lame girl and an old man. An invisible premonition haunts the place and the characters who live in it. The man and the girl decide to leave; one of them stays: the old one. The characters flee to a place without a destination, a place that they themselves do not know what it is. The old man, alone, under those black hills, decides to make a resolution before that place and before himself.
