Biography
Sofia Filippidou (Thessaloniki October 21, 1948) is a Greek actress, director and writer. She studied Theater at the Drama School of the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki and German Philology at the Aristotle University. She did post-graduate studies for one year at the newly founded theater department of Nikiforos Papandreou at the Philosophy School of the University of Thessaloniki. She has been a member of the "Theatrical Art Workshop" (1972 - 1979) and the "Experimental Art Stage" (1980 - 1985). She made her debut in the theater in 1972 when she performed the role of Marianthi in Bost's "Fausta", staged by the Theatrical Workshop of "Technis" directed by Giorgos Emirzas and music by Loukianos Kilaidonis. In 1997, she met again with this play but in a different venue, at the "New Stage" of the "National Theater" directed by Nikos Hatzipapas and in the summer of the same year he performed "Fausta" again at the "Smaroula" Theater, directed by Yiannis Bostatzoglou . In 1985, she went down to Athens and collaborated with major theaters of the capital to put on classical works, reviews and musical performances. She lives in Exarchia.

The Haritou family's ancestral home was initially inhabited only by the unmarried youngest daughter, Irini. However, in the first episode of the series, her older and widowed sister, Olga, moves into the same house until the construction of the new house she is building is completed. This is the story of two Greek families, named Delafrangas and Bisbikides. The former family is very wealthy & lucky, the latter very poor and continually struck by fate. Crying... Silicon Tears
This is a series of intersecting stories. A petty crook and former lover of a lazy ingénue steals the box-office receipts from the Odeon of Herodus Atticus, on the day an important football game is also taking place. There is also the story of the half-mad mother of the ingénue who refuses to put shoes on because she believes that shoes lead people astray. An eccentric grave-digger produces a two-seater coffin for couple-victims of car accidents. The film also tells the story of one of the Odeon's cleaning women and of a watermelon that goes all around the city, pursued by a tired theater technician and his sister, who is a tour guide. The impresario conducts an inquiry after the theft, but the thief and his two associates, the ingénue and the technician, use what was stolen to set up a small theatre. Small everyday stories and comic incidents combine to create a portrait of modern-day Athens.
