Shades of Winter features deep powder and pillows in Japan, skiing all-time conditions in the Alps, big mountain lines in Haines, AK, and the highest level of female freestyle skiing ever seen from the Nine Queens event in Austria.

Without knowing each other, pro mountain biker Hannah Barnes from Scotland and Austrian freeskier Sandra Lahnsteiner set off to a trip to Iceland together. Their plan is to explore the Troll Peninsula while doing both their sports: freeskiing and mountain biking. Hannah however, is only an average skier; how will she feel following Sandra, a pro freeskier with steep skiing experience, into the backcountry? Will she be able to leave her comfort zone, and how can Sandra support her? Vice versa, Sandra will chase the mountain bike girl on the challenging single trails in the vast country of Iceland.By putting on the others’ shoes, the athletes show unseen vulnerability when things turn messy and stressful. The film CONNECTS prompts the audience to connect and identify with Hannah and Sandra and become excited to see how they cope with the challenges along the way.

PURE is the second "Shades of Winter" movie of Austrian free skier and filmmaker Sandra Lahnsteiner. Sharing her platform with some of the best female athletes from all over the world you can again expect high performance skiing at its best. Together with directore Mario Feil and DOP Mathias Bergmann the young crew stepped it up in every single aspect of movie making. In #shadesofwinter LUCID, pro skier & filmmaker Sandra Lahnsteiner’s intense dreams begin to overtake her waking life and she becomes increasingly caught up in flights of deep powder, pillows and ski lines. Her keyed up imagination through lucid dreams becomes her – and our – reality. LUCID gives us the illusion that we are part of her world, skiing through magical winter sceneries, feeling and tasting the snow. It’s a dream though, and only by making it happen ourselves, the illusion becomes real.

CROSSROADS follows Janina Kuzma (NZL) and Sandra Lahnsteiner (AUT) on their road trip through British Columbia, Canada. Bounded by a strong friendship, Crossroads takes you with on the athletes’ pursuit for powder with playful skiing, many laughs and a few surprises along the way. Between Golden and Kaslo, the girls get behind the steering wheel and amongst the machines. Austrian freeski ladies Melissa Presslaber and Sandra Lahnsteiner in winter 2012 travelled to Morocco to explore the freeski possibilities in Northern Africa. When boarding the plane to Marrakech the girls didn't exactly know what to expect on their exotic skiing trip. Leaving hectic and hot Marrakech behind, they find themselves hiking in the beautiful nature of the Toubkal valley. „Shukran Morocco“ is a declaration of love to a country that offered even more than an impressive mountain range and skiing in the Atlas mountains, including hiking the highest peak of northern Africa and heliskiing in the Toubkal region.
