Brava Gente was a television series aired by TV Globo in Brazil between 2000 and 2003, initially as a special year-end. The program was adapted from stories and national stories, and plays by famous playwrights, screenwriters and signed by a number represented by several actors and actresses. The genres of the stories varied each week with the style of each director or author. Brava Gente in the stories ranged from comedies and dramas. In all 53 episodes were shown, broadcast on Tuesday nights.

The hypochondriac lawyer Arthur, the model Maria, the religious Elizabeth, the hardworking Guinevere, and the womanizing personal trainer Lancelotti reunite after 25 years in the fictional town of Deus me Livre, in the interior of São Paulo. The present-day story begins with the introduction of Lívia's story, her husband Beto, and their children, Zeca, Tetê, and Juninho. The family's happiness will be destroyed, just as in Lívia and Beto's past lives (Princess Cecília and Count Rogério), by the reappearance of the vampire Boris. He wants to reclaim Zeca, who is not actually Lívia and Beto's son, but his son with a mistress. As soon as he was born, while still in the maternity ward, Boris placed Zeca in the place of Lívia's true son.

Inspired by film noir and North American pulp fiction from the 1930s and 1940s, “Forbidden City” follows the adventures of a former police officer turned private eye. Specialized in adultery cases, the detective employs his power of seduction and ends up mixing his personal and professional lives, getting involved in complex plots that might be a threat to his own life.

The series follows Barbara Palermo, a frustrated writer, and Pedro Guerra, a grumpy cop. Barbara and Peter met in high school when Barbara fell in love with him. After high school, each went their own way and they never met. Barbara eventually became a great writer, but under the pseudonym Paloma Paz, and sold hundreds of newsstand books. Pedro dreamed of joining the Brazilian volleyball team, but after an accident, his career went into decline, and he became a lonely and very closed man. The diabolical Ratam (Paul Reis) takes over the planet Antar, after the death of the emperor, and orders that all children be enslaved.
