This musical is based on old Georgian vaudevilles and plays. The early 20th century. Old Tiflis is in confusion and turmoil. A mysterious fairy is helping the poor Pavle’s family: real wood is burning in his old, neglected fireplace, wherein a pot with meat would suddenly appear. The good fairy is impersonated by laundress Vardo who helps not only the poor Pavle, but other families in this quarter as well. Vardo is known to many people in the town, but no one ever suspected that she was capable of performing miracles. The film’s colorful folk melodies, merry songs and fiery dances leave no viewer indifferent. Starring in the leading role is the great Georgian actress Sofiko Chiaureli.

Brave sons of Khevsureti and Kisteti fight against each to protect their homelands. But, they confront faulty domestic traditions to respect enemy’s true prowess and find themselves in conflict with own compatriots.

The house owner, unable to provide more than a dry flatbread, offered the horse hay instead of oats, which he used as bedding. The horseman was touched by the boy’s kindness and promised to reward him generously if he followed in his footsteps and helped others along the way.

A respected philatelist is murdered in his own apartment, leaving only one inconspicuous stamp stolen from his collection. The seemingly unmotivated murder leads prosecutors on a trail of a dangerous criminal.

A fellow villager takes away Bakha's fiancée. In order to seek revenge, Bakha asks the Kists for help. The Bakha community decides to cut off the village due to its connection with the Urzhuls.

Iato runs away from home to replace the unknown singer in music band which causes concern for her older sister and attracts the attention of the police.

In a poor village, a farmer who goes to the field becomes ill and is brought home unconscious. Relatives and villagers come to visit him, to express compassion to his mother. But sympathy is accompanied by the fear that this illness will spread in their families as well.

There is a small town in Georgia called Sarkineti. The main advantage of this glorious town is that everyone sings here without exception. Among the Sarkinetians, even children are born with a polyphonic song on their lips. Moreover, Sarkinet children sing everything: their repertoire includes songs from all corners of the globe and, they say, even America.
