A just man becomes an outlaw. He is pursued by the police over the years, while he tries to fight the injustice in the world, but he can't figure out the minds of his fellow men, and is often misunderstood.

The script is based on Borges's story "The Gospel according to St. Mark".

The director dedicated this lyrical, epic film-confession to the memory of his father who was a doctor. The film’s protagonist, an ambulance doctor, conducts dangerous experiments in search of a vitally important vaccine. His wife believes in his work, though his daughter would not understand him. His son, who is absolutely unlike his father in character, is trying to protect him. But self-denial in the name of science proves too high a price. Just when he is on the verge of discovery, the doctor loses everything he has gathered as a result of his twenty-year-long work. This loss brings him even closer to his son. The shooting of the film continued for seven years (1985-1992), making it a metaphorical culmination of the Soviet cinematography and the Soviet way of life as a whole.

1942, the German Wehrmacht is trying to capture the Baku oilfields at the Black sea. Their biggest obstacle are the Caucasian Mountains and few Russians soldiers to stop them. The story revolves around an important Mountain Pass, that is heavily contested by both sides.

The tragic events in Georgian history, spanning from the 16th to the 18th centuries, culminated in the signing of the Treaty of Georgievsk in 1783, which placed Georgia under Russian protection.

The film depicts episodes of Iakob Dzhugashvili's life in a German concentration camp and his heroic death.

The film consists of the children's novellas: "Men", "Metodievna", "Khecho", "Grapes", "Champions", "Hat", "Eagles". Each of them tells us about kindness and justice, Georgian traditions and hospitality, and the characteristic qualities of Georgians.

A fellow villager takes away Bakha's fiancée. In order to seek revenge, Bakha asks the Kists for help. The Bakha community decides to cut off the village due to its connection with the Urzhuls.

The ship which supplies Anton Denikin with money, weapons and secret documents gets to the attention of different party units in a Black Sea resort. The small Bolshevik armed unit fights there against the British authority. Its aim is to subvert the supply of weapons to the White Army. The Bolshevik armed unit penetrates the ship, disarms the captain, takes away the money and booby-traps the ship. In order to baffle pursuit the group decides to escape through the swamps. One member of the group turns out to be a traitor. He steals the money. The rest of the group drowns in the swamp.

Vazha served his sentence for stealing a cow and returned to the village. Upon his return, he decided to repair the house. His friends promised to help, but then everyone had their own business.

When Imeda’s father is killed in a blood revenge accident, the family moves him to the city where he is sheltered at his father’s friend. After fifteen year he gets back to Khevsureti. A talented painter, he spends most of his time doing sketches of nature and people. There he meets a local beauty, Mzekala and fells in love with her but finds out that Torghva is also in love with her. Enraged by Imeda’s impudence Torghva calls him for a sword fight and is killed by Imeda. To avoid another round of blood revenge, the villagers let Imeda and Mzekala out of the village but someone who wants Imeda’s blood finds it out and follows them.

On the outskirts of the modern city, an old mill stands. Townspeople come here to grind corn, while waiting for their turn, they share memories of the past, discuss present concerns, joke, and argue.

After the defeat of the 1905 revolution, the underground fighter Gio is sentenced to 25 years of hard labor. However, he manages to escape eight years later. Having lost his wife and daughter during this time, he decides to take revenge on the gendarmes. Gio's younger brother joins him in the mountains...

This is a film-tale about the battle between good and evil good ending. Tsiskara his heroes, the evil wizard who's People without a savior sent forth to the people. He must conquer the evil forces and to release people from slavery. His beloved and loyal friends to help overcome Tsiskara many sorcerers, defeats the sorcerer and water, and the freedom of people to return.

The film begins in 1922 in Georgia. A strange event occurs near seven comrades. One of them, who knows the secret of horse riding, miraculously remains alive. Captivated by a sense of duty, the comrades decide to go to Gori to find this man, and if possible, then stop his crime, which will cost the lives of many innocents. A military dictator in a fictional country, modeled on early-1970s Chile, has risen from butcher to junta leader but now, isolated and distrustful, confides only in his guard Manuel. Manuel, who once shared the dictator’s humble origins, betrays him without hesitation when a popular uprising topples the regime and personally kills him.

Twelve-year-old Azamat spends his summer vacation in the village. After another prank by his grandson, his grandfather sends him to a high-mountain pasture. There, among the shepherds, the boy initially feels uncomfortable. His peers do not miss the opportunity to laugh at how Azamat herds the flock and cleans the pens. But soon, the boy begins to value the shepherds' attitude toward him and his friendship with a one-horned cow, with whom he often plays soccer.

In 1937, neighbours would gather in the evenings to listen to the gramophone played by Daniela, a peasant who loved music. However, an insult from a fellow villager was enough to send the innocent Daniela to the Gulag on absurd charges.

Follows the deportation of Karachays, which took place at the end of World War II. The film's director, himself a Karachay, tried to convey the experiences of people, life and culture, considering it important to make people realize what that did to him and his people.

A journey in a second-class passenger car in Soviet Georgia. People are squeezed into cramped seats, some of them trying to get comfortable on lying places - shelves. The main "entertainment" is an elegant blond man who claims he is an actor and has traveled the world. His stories mesmerize most of the passengers. Nevertheless, there is a man of stern appearance who differs from the masses. He travels with a trained sparrow hidden in his coat and does not believe the tales of the so-called actor, and openly declares it. The men get into a fight...
