Old Petterson lives on the edge of a small village somewhere in Sweden. Together with his cat Findus and his ten white hens he always experiences wonderfully funny and exciting adventures. The stories are about friendship, travel and the crazy and loving everyday life of Pettersson and Findus.
Mamma Moo is a typical cow, besides that she wants to do so many uncowly things. Her idea of fun is biking and dancing, and when she meets Crow her happiness is complete - the fun is so much bigger when you have a friend. There's a catch; Crow does not want to be friends with a cow, especially not such a peculiar one.
Christmas is in full swing at the home of the wayward old man Pettson and his mischievous cat Findus. Gingerbread cookies need to be baked, the tree needs to be cut down, Christmas presents need to be made and the Christmas cleaning needs to be done. But can there be any Christmas if you're not sure if Santa is coming?
The old man PETTSON and his cat FINDUS live on a small farm way out in the countryside in Sweden. Christmas is approaching, and Pettson has given Findus the rash promise that THE TOMTE will come around with gifts for him at Christmas Eve. Pettson does not believe in the Tomte, but in order not to disappoint his cat, he decides to build an artificial Tomte - a mechanical TOMTE MACHINE. Pettson has a hard time keeping the project secret from Findus and getting the machine to actually work in due time. But somehow a mysterious magical force interferes...
This Christmas Calendar is based on stories written by children and teenagers between the ages of 8 and 17. Each episode features several of these stories presented in dramatized form. Here, fairy tales blend with reality, with adventures taking place in places such as the space age, the world of dreams, and the realm of fairy tales. We meet elves and trolls, princesses and knights, and much more! The program was broadcast live, with host Staffan Ling welcoming various guests in the studio. The filmed stories were interspersed with competitions, Christmas tips, and music.
Old farmer Pettson gets a kitten from his neighbour Mrs Kosonen and calls the cat Viiru. When Viiru starts to talk, the two become inseparable friends.
Once upon a time, the Mucklas could be found everywhere. But in an increasingly tidy world, the cheerful goblins have a hard time, since they love disorder more than anything. Soon the last tribe will have to leave their home. For generations, the little creatures have made themselves at home unnoticed in Hansson's old, chaotic grocer's store. In the wonderful mess, they find everything they need to live, tinker and make mischief. But Hansson's successor, Karl the exterminator, turns the paradise into a tiled and sterile nightmare. So Svunja, Tjorben and Smartö set off on a dangerous search for the promised land. The great adventure begins
Pettson and Findus find themselves snowed in their house. The little cat is scared that Christmas is ruined, but Pettson promises that they will celebrate "the best Christmas ever".
Pettson and Findus are fishing down by the lake when suddenly a snowstorm rises and it starts to get dark. Lost in the bad weather they are forced to seek shelter in an igloo they build out of blocks of frozen fishes. Inside they tell stories from the past year to keep their spirits up.
A swimming machine turns up that has been doctored and modified into a tile thrower, but the machine malfunctions and causes an accident that imparts Pettson with amnesia. Suddenly, it seems as though the only hope for Pettson lies in old stories that will jog his memory, such as the tale about Findus getting lost as a kitten and the one about Pettson and Findus embarking on a thrilling treasure hunt.
The old man Petterson is trying to sleep but his cat Findus is keeping him awake, so they both agree that Findus shall have his own house.
Findus promises the chickens to build a feather care machine.
