Waiting for him at home is Blada, the mother of his future child, the daughter of the head of the local security service, who arranged for the candidate to be a son-in-law to shorten his military service. Januszek, who has had many women's hearts broken on his conscience, is not eager to get married.

Children from the orphanage hijack a tram on New Year's Eve. They drive it between Silesian cities on long journeys, meeting different people. During this night, moments are difficult, fun and scary, but unforgettable. In the morning, the children are picked up by a police patrol.

A confrontation between youthful dreams and ideas about adult life and the vision of the world after crossing the threshold of maturity.
