Surreal journey into the complex relationship between indigenous peoples and the unstoppable force of technological progress. The film depicts various stages of technological development and their impact on indigenous populations.

The experimental documentary depicts the flow of water as a metaphor for Sámi people under pressure in modern times. The film deals with water as a sacred element, pathway and daily source of sustenance for the Sámi people. The poetic essence of the narration comes from Pedar Jalvi, Finland’s first Sámi writer, who describes the connection with water in his poem Muohtačalmmit.

Crown snow-load trees are swaying hypnotically in the never ending forest. Momentum of stagnation pierces the wanderer who has an eye for details. If you look deeper, you may ask. Answers shall be given beyond our realm.
