One night in Ginza, Kogoro Akechi meets a woman who calls herself Shizuko Yanagi. Shizuko claims that her mother, Michiko, is trying to kill her. However, a series of bizarre incidents begins to unfold around Shizuko, all centered on the vast fortune Michiko left behind. Furthermore, whenever these incidents occur, a mysterious monster with a disfigured face appears. Could it be Michiko, risen from the grave?
