Robert Gardner and Billy Noble become interested in a machine capable--according to the inventor, Trueman--of producing artificial rubber. A trust is formed, circulars are sent out, and a demonstration is requested. When Billy discovers that the invention is fraudulent and refuses to demonstrate it, the trust lawyer becomes suspicious and notifies postal authorities. Robert feigns insanity, and Trueman accepts an offer of $1 million for the formula, which experts later discover produces an indestructible paving block.

Peggy chooses love over wealth, reuniting with Jimmy (now a successful scenarist) and finally finding true happiness.
Accomplished portrait painter Clementina Wing, sacrificing all self-interest to her art, complies with the request of fellow artist Tommy Burgrave to paint a portrait of his wealthy Uncle Quixtus, whose unhappy life has made him unsociable. Quixtus is about to be taken advantage of by adventuress Lena Fontaine when Clem intervenes.
Against the wishes of his mother, Marty Kruger becomes a jockey, like his father, and soon gains an outstanding reputation. He joins the Tupper stables and, despite the tyranny of trainer Hippo Devlin, finds happiness in his work and falls in love with Katie Kelly, a lunchroom waitress. They are engaged at the time Marty is laid up by an accident, and as he returns to the track overweight, Devlin forces him to reduce to the point of endangering his health. "Silk" Conlon, representing betting interests, wants the Tupper entry to lose the race and tries to bribe Marty into eating a square meal; but he refuses for fear of disgrace, and though he wins the race, he faints from weakness. Tupper thrashes the trainer and fires him, and when Marty and Katie are married, Marty is made Devlin's successor.

In many ways, this reminds me of another Bobby Vernon film, RENO OR BUST. That's because both films star Bobby and consist of him trying to rescue his lady from being forced to marry a man she doesn't love. However, in this case she's being forced to marry the king of a fictional country and the king, unbeknownst to his subjects, is already married.
