The plot revolves around Cristina BazĂĄn, a young woman who grew up in a boarding school with her sister Ămbar, an evil and envious woman. Cristina believes that her mother is a successful and busy woman, however, she does not know that in the past, her mother was forced to abandon her after going to prison. Ămbar is Rodolfo's fiancĂ©e, however, she cheats on him with her best friend Miguel Ăngelo, a doctor in medicine. Submissive to her sister and stepmother, Cristina is silently in love with Rodolfo, who little by little begins to see the young woman with the same eyes, while she is always mistreated by her sister and stepmother Rosaura.
