Part I, "The Ultimate Journey", moves from fertilization to birth of the human child, with excursions into comparative embryology. "The Unknown World" explores fur beetles and book worms and viruses among others - you will not be able to look at a fur coat the same way again. And in "The Photographer's Secrets" the technical people who developed the instruments he used explain how the cinemagic is done - a kiss from the inside, an opera singer's vocal cords, a tractor as seen 'over the shoulder' of an emerging worm.

A major presentation of the life and deeds of the Vikings - seafaring Scandinavians that raided and traded from today's Iran, along the Russian rivers, all over Europe and over the oceans to Greenland and America, five hundred years before Columbus. Here scientists from around the Viking world explains how modern international archaeology works, and illustrates the amazing discoveries about who the Vikings were and what they actually achieved, founding cities like Dublin and countries like Russia.

"Bellman Forever" - about Sweden's foremost national poet and performer from the eighteenth century: Carl Michael Bellman. Despite the fact that he died 220 years ago, he is still making researchers fight about who he was and what he meant with his lyrics. In the programme, several of Sweden's most famous artists and researchers give their contribution to our understanding of this productive genius that died poor and forgotten.
