Four university students—Jiang Xiaoguo, Duan Jiabao, Luo Yan, and Liang Shuang—navigate the challenges and complexities of life after high school as they transition into adulthood.

After graduating from Beijing, Li Mujia, a girl Beijing drifter, entered the most well-known law firm and worked hard to become a leading lawyer from an administrative assistant. Mujia met the market elite Li Guang, and their relationship had undergone several twists and turned as they grow rapidly. Mujia's best friend Tian Rong failed to apply for a job after graduation and accidentally became a real estate agent. She hastily married a Beijing boy named Li Wanbing, which put her career and relationship to a huge ordeal after marriage. The two encountered various setbacks but found their own direction. From 2007 to 2019, girls' pursuit and hope for life have involuntarily changed their appearance in reality. Set in the Shanghai Bund in the 1940s, it revolves around a female detective who solve multiple cases.

Set around the founding of the PRC, the story follows CCP undercover agent Zheng Chaoyang as he battles KMT operatives. After his cover is blown at the Peiping police station, he escapes with a critical list of KMT spies. Returning to Peiping post-liberation, Chaoyang faces a new challenge—elite KMT spies led by "Phoenix," who is revealed to be his estranged brother, Zheng Chaoshan.

After an earthquake in Xichuan, lawyer Luo Ben joins a non-profit rescue team and, inspired by their courage and selflessness, trains alongside new recruits. Facing disasters from earthquakes to typhoons, they risk everything to save lives and grow into elite rescuers.
