S. Epitashvili

When the communists decide to renovate the city and try to demolish a badly positioned church, the religious citizens decide to fight for what is holy to them.

The action of the film takes place in 1905-07. The main characters are a revolutionary who escaped from Metekhi prison and two brothers who hate each other.

Based on A. Shirvanzade’s story “Madwoman.” It's a tragic story of an epileptic girl, who is the victim of the prejudices of her husband's family. A powerful village drama with a horribly tragic ending, visually striking, lots of Armenian customs.
