Mok Ka Bo is a young lad with a few problems. He's just cut loose from a relationship with Fung, a violent lad who can't accept being dumped and wants him back. Ka Bo takes after pretty schoolgirl Margaret, who is apparently a top student and quite respectable, but has a poor and unhappy home life. Ka Bo also has a difficult relationship with his mum, a middle-aged hooker whose use-by date has arrived.

Tony Leung plays Wai, an apple polisher working in a finance company co-managed by Ma and Kang, both being brothers. Kang is the good brother, Ma, the bad one. Wai tries to set Kang up with Mina to prevent Ma from getting her, but Kang likes Jackie, especially after saving her from prostitution. Wai later reveals to Kang that he likes Mina, but is afraid Kang will be angry with him, besides the feelings between Mina and him are mutual.

Dummy, a deaf mute, is a brilliant and undiscovered cartoonist whose current publication has been gradually ignored by his readers. Consequently, the drop of the sale has promptly provoked his superior urging him to adopt a new style. During the midst of a mental struggle for new subjects, Cactus, a night club hostess, walks into his life, as he silently and secretly falls in love with her. However, nurturing with an instinctive inferiority complex that had been fostered by his shortcomings all his life. Dummy had not been able to gather his courage to reveal his love to Cactus.....

It Takes Two is a 1982 Hong Kong comedy film directed by Karl Maka and starring Dean Shek and Richard Ng.

Club 99 is not just a hideout for triad gangsters, but also a haven for smuggling jewelleries from robbery. When detective Law is investigating a jewellery heist, he is ambushed by the men from Dog Stone (Sek Yin-tsi) who is the owner of Club 99. Then, Law's daughter Fong (Law Yim-hing) helps her father to be undercover and disguises herself as a dancer in the club and gambler Lung (Lam Kau) is also an informant for the police force. While Dog Stone is cunning enough to discover their identities, there are in fact more undercover agents in the club...Influenced by Hollywood's semi-documentary style, the film has a detailed yet complex portrayal of human nature－undercover anxieties, domineering gangsters and moral ambiguity. With its realistic chasing and action sequences, the film is nonetheless a very entertaining piece of cinema.
