¡Válgame Dios! is a Spanish-language Venezuelan telenovela written by Mónica Montañéz for Venevisión. Sabrina Seara and Eduardo Orozco star as the main protagonists while Ricardo Alamo, Carlota Sosa and Raquel Yanez star as the main antagonists.
Cecilia (Eileen Abad) and Beto (Ricardo Bianchi) discover that their love may be marked by a dark secret from their past. Cecilia, a humble, studious, and free-spirited girl, and Beto, a passionate, charismatic, and sensitive young man, meet at a restaurant when she is dressed as a hamburger. From this peculiar and fun encounter, they develop a special connection that eventually transforms into a deep and sincere love. In César Miguel Rondón's adaptation, a different origin story is presented. The fisherman Ismael (Félix Loreto) is unfaithful to his wife Cayita (Ana Karina) with a witch, Carmelina (Ileana Aloma). She swears revenge when she sees Ismael return to Cayita's arms and casts a curse that will cause the fisherman's death, setting his house on fire. Faced with the tragic event, Cayita, frightened, screams and begs the townspeople for help to save her son, who was inside the house when the fire started. Cayita's son dies alongside Ismael. It is then that she, crazed with grief, cries out for her son for eternity.
The film is made up of two stories: In Block 1 the story of Manuel, a lonely and gray man, whose attitude distances him from all those around him, even from his own son. In the midst of routine and alcohol, the hope of a new love arises. This is how Norma, a bar bartender, enters his life without realizing it. In Block 2, the Aristiguetas, an upper-class Venezuelan family, have moved, economically less due to the failed decisions of their father. While for Alejandra the trip back to Venezuela becomes an encounter with herself, assuming control of her family's destiny, her brother Francisco explores life in the alleys of the neighborhood.
