It turns out that Williams isn't a spy but the people whom Dorothy least suspects are in fact spies, and they discover that Dorothy knows the password to get into the factory after hours.

This kidnapping actually proves one of the lesser of the perils faced by the poor Mary. Laramie, a government agent, wants with the help of his friendly Shoshone Indian friends to extricate the damsel-in-distress.

Leonard Sheldon is the manager of a Mexican vineyard which is suffering from a diphtheria epidemic. Sheldon calls for a doctor and gets Katherine, much to the chagrin of the Mexicans. They've never seen a woman doctor, and their peasant superstitions lead them to believe that her forehead-mirror is "the evil eye," and that it's making their children die even faster.
