Merry soldiers arrive in the sleepy Transdanubian town. The cynical woman-hunter, Ferdinándy, learns to know doctor Barlay's beautiful wife at a carnival. She lives a happy married life, and the attentions of the lieutenant are all in vain.

Koncert is a 1962 Hungarian short film directed by István Szabó. In the film, several beach-goers have a go at playing creating an impromptu concert. The film was nominated for an Oscar for Best Live Action Short Film.

The protagonist was sent to South America after the war. Now he is back home and wants to meet his old love. At the same time, he takes on the job of looking after his in-laws' children, two very bad boys, while their parents are on holiday abroad. What will become of it? Mrs. Fazekas and her three sons live in a tenement house in the outskirts. The eldest son, Fecó, is saving money in order to buy a washing machine for his mother, while her other two sons spend time by hanging around and playing tricks.

A teenage boy, Bendegúz Regős, who has never succeeded at anything in his life and of whom the only thing people remember is: "I wish they had hanged you when you were two days old", drops out of school and is hired by his mother to be a cowherd with the help of a clutch. That's how he ends up with the harami-faced Bacter Szabo, who has to graze the cows by the railway. But even though Bendegúz is a well-meaning boy, he is usually "in trouble" by the time he has "finished his purpose...". The boy is subjected to a lot of humiliation, even if he has the sense to keep to himself. But his good humour never fails him. In the outskirts of Vecsés and Ferihegy, to make the cows fat, he is forced to graze in a forbidden area, which gets him a good beating from the peasants. But his life is made worse by his bacterial mother-in-law, the Stinky Witch, who turns even clean water into vinegar in his mouth. She is as flat as a flame from the front and as curvy as St. Gellert's Hill from the back.

The film is a ballad about the dwellers of a block-of-flats in Angyalföld.

The film consists of 3 novellas. 1. On the eve of the Soviet advance into Hungary, workers at a military plant risk everything to strike in defiance, displaying unwavering courage and solidarity. 2. During a fierce battle, three Soviet soldiers shelter in a peasant’s hut where a dying mother begs them to baptize her newborn - an act of compassion they fulfill, leaving behind three stars from their caps as a lasting gift. 3. After liberating a Hungarian town, Soviet troops rescue a hidden throng of civilians, huddled in underground tunnels, from imminent Nazi brutality, saving countless lives in the process.

Endre and Agha, the newlyweds, had a hard time at first. Agi's parents refused to help them. Then a child was born. Life without an apartment and without sufficient funds became even more difficult. It came to divorce. But love prevailed: Endre and Agi realized that together they would overcome all difficulties.

The movie tells about the relationship between young people who love each other. Young Mishka's family works on a construction site in Budapest, and on weekends they come home to their village on the Great Plain to relax and have fun. It is here that the young man meets Klari. He learns that Klari is his fellow villager, although she also works in Budapest. They arrange to meet the following weekend. Mishka is truly in love. Clarie is too, but she doesn't dare to admit to him that she has been unfaithful.

Gráci has been recently released from a reformatory school. His old gang would like to involve him in a new action, but he hesitates. His past record is bad enough already, and he would not like to get into new trouble.

The film is a musical comedy about the life of soldiers.
