Sergeant Gidi Tsur (Topol) serves in the reserve in the Suez Canal. He goes on vacation and is supposed to meet with his wife to get divorced in the Rabbinate. Meanwhile, he spends his time in the company of other women.

Miriam, the wife of the Israeli plantation holder David, is the mother of Jack and Emanuel. She also has a daughter, but she was not recognized by her husband and sent to Switzerland. After the death of David the daughter returns from Switzerland and she has to choose between two lovers; Jack and Emanuel. However, none of them knows that they are brothers and sister.
