Set in the downtown area in the heart of Tokyo, this film depicts the lives of poor but kind-hearted people.

Hama-chan and Su-san meet a charming woman on a fishing trip, but forget to ask her name. Days later, Hama-chan sees her again at a dentist's office.

Hama-chan shows up to work with his son on his back when his wife goes to her class reunion and his mother throws her back out.

A young man working as a cameraman in Tokyo is visited for three days by his parents from the countryside.

The film depicts a couple who go on a trip to Hawaii to relieve their daily frustration and get caught up in various commotions. Written by Masakuni Takahashi ("Minatomachi Gentlemen's Record"), directed by Tomio Kuriyama (this was his first film), and photographed by Kosuke Yasuda. Using their various ingenious resources they embark on a complex scheme to blackmail a crooked businessman, whose bankruptcy claim has put people out of work. It’s a fun romp as these seemingly homeless people manage to outsmart the very people who cast them from society.
