In an unnamed English-speaking capitalist land, a young engineer invents inexhaustible giant robots to replace the fragile human workers on high-volume assembly-lines, and soon finds his invention co-opted by the military-industrial complex.

The owner of the gladiator school buys two slaves, the Thracian Spartacus and the Gaul Artorix. During the first fight in the arena, Spartacus wins over the Colloseum audience and his freedom. When freed from gladiator slavery, Spartacus calls slaves and Rome plebs for a rebel. The dictator Sulla dies. Spartacus and rebellious slaves lay out a camp near Vesuvius. The Roman commander Crassus is unable to take Spartacus’s camp by storm, so he lays siege to it. Spartacus is betrayed; he dies with his friend Artorix in a battle. The film is based on Raffaello Giovagnoli’s novel of the same name.

The “Transbalt“ vessel is to deliver a cargo of salt to Far Eastern fishermen who have made increased commitments. It's the 17th century, when social antagonism is at its peak. Cossacks fight off Tatars’ attacks, however, they start to realise that the real enemy is much closer. Taras Triasylo raises Cossacks to help the rebellious peasants.

The action takes place in the late 1920s in Ukraine. The exposure of a counter-revolutionary agent who has infiltrated the Soviet scientific community. The film has survived without the 6th part.

The movie tells about the first years of Nazism. In the center of the plot is a German student graduating from an institute and receiving a diploma with a gold medal for success in science. The seamy Jewish underworld of Odesa is the setting for Isaac Babel's story based on the life of gangster king Mishka Yaponchik "Mike the Jap" Vinnitsky. Murder is a way of life for Benya and his gang until he finds himself ensnared in a Bolshevik trap.

Suddenly, right on the street, prosecutor Kravtsov recognizes the White Guard soldier Vinter, who was sentenced to death. The sentence was to be carried out by Red Army officer Prokopchuk, but as it turned out, he took pity on the prisoner and released him. Employees of the GPU (State Political Directorate) track down Wynter and the group of "smugglers and saboteurs" he led. In order to catch the state criminal, Prokopchuk asks to join the coast guard. He tracks down Wynter as he returns from abroad on a schooner. In a desperate fight, Prokopchuk dies along with his enemy.
