Biography
Donnie Van Zant, born June 11, 1952 in Jacksonville, Florida, is an American rock vocalist and guitarist. He is the younger brother of late Lynyrd Skynyrd founder and singer Ronnie Van Zant, the older brother of present Lynyrd Skynyrd singer Johnny Van Zant and cousin of Jimmie Van Zant. In 1974 Donnie Van Zant co-founded .38 Special and was one of their lead singers until his retirement in 2013.
