Dung Duang Harutai is the story of three kingdoms. Kasit ruled by King Rungsimun is the wealthiest and most powerful but they lack a sea route, for this reason, King Rungsimun had planned to politically wed Princess Munisala of Thanta in order to conveniently use their water route. However, if both Kasit and Thanta were to unite that would cause Puntoolat to become isolated and for this reason, the three kingdoms have longed lived with suspicion of one another.

Three sisters inherit special powers from their scientist father. If transferred into a microchip, the power grants immense control. A secret organization hunts them, separating the girls as children. Tor Roong, the youngest, is raised in hiding by an old family servant, while Meena and Sailom are brainwashed to capture girls with powers—unaware their true target is Tor Roong, now their classmate. As students go missing, the case draws national attention, prompting the authorities to assign Inspector Pandin to investigate. He grows suspicious of Tor Roong’s odd behavior and keeps a close eye on her. Jao Nang, also known as The Princess's Terror, is a period horror Lakorn which originally aired in the mid-1990s and became known among Thai viewers as the most frightening lakorn. It starred Chakkrit Amarat and Kavinna Suvannaprateep in the leading roles. In 1997, BBTV Channel 7 released its hit lakorn, Pob Pee Fa, which provided a plot similar to this lakorn, but with different characters and story details. This 1997 lakorn was later referred to as a remake by some viewers. The real identity of Pee Fah is Phi Pop, a ghost of popular Thai folklore.
