Martin Plechatý and Petr Nový roam occupied Prague with their trams. Times are hard and sometimes survival is not easy - especially when, in an attempt to help a threatened (and charming) neighbor, you get involved with an SS man, hit him on the head and kill him. At least that's how the two friends explained the situation to each other when their opponent collapsed to the ground. What to do with the body now? An endless anabasis begins, in which even a baby stroller comes into play...
Tommy Fikejs and Ferda Říha, two perpetual students, are completely broke. They are up to their necks in debt, their landlady is kicking them out, and there is no hope of securing another loan. Tommy does have a wealthy uncle—an automotive tycoon—but the man refuses to be "touched" for money, whether by persuasion or coercion, despite Tommy bombarding him with pleading letters.
The film is about an unhappy mother who left her husband and a young son. She works as a singer and the boy is in the oven at the house on the wreath. The housekeeper beats the son and he runs away.
The Portorican prime minister asks British detective Sherlock Holmes to find a twin for King Fernando XXIII, a weak and frightened man who fears anarchists and does not want to show himself in public. Holmes finds in the Czech newspapers a photo of the perfect double, František Lelíček, a daring bon vivant drowned in debt, so when Holmes offers him money, Lelíček decides to travel to Portorico and play the role.

Eva, a saleswoman in a record shop, is pestered by a rude customer. Councilor Švarc comes to her defense and immediately asks her to help him get rid of his temperamental mistress, Rita. According to Švarc’s plan, Eva is to play the role of his ex-mistress, who is determined to win him back. Meanwhile, Rita leaves Švarc on her own initiative; she has met the famous aviator Jiří Vydra, who arranged to meet her at a fishermen's tavern.
In "Fidlovacka", the name of a Czechoslovakian festival, the proprietress of a cheese factory picks a fiancé for her orphaned niece in her desire to bring aristocratic blood into the family. THe niece has also picked the man she wants to marry and isn't the the rich aristocrat.
Eighteen-year-old factory worker's daughter Věra Janáková is head over heels in love with the famous pilot Jiří Málek. She only knows him from a photograph, but that's enough for her to run away from the boarding house and set out to find him. There, she discovers that the old Málek family are expecting the arrival of a girl from the orphanage, from whom they intend to raise Jiří's future wife. Enterprising Věra doesn't hesitate and quickly disguises herself as a thirteen-year-old frog...

At a fashion show, Margot receives a check from the factory owner for the purchase of a fur coat, but accidentally puts it in the pocket of a fur coat that the saleswoman and model Eva secretly borrows after the show...

She begs Angelika to lend her clothes for a few days and leaves the prison as a nun.
The cunning lawyer Dr. Werner tries to divorce Pavel Bertl, who is considered by everyone to be a notorious gambler and drunkard. In reality, he is a weakling; although he loves his wife very much, he squanders her fortune. He is already in danger of financial ruin and Bertl, instead of truly improving himself, lets the lawyer convince him that the only way out of this situation is divorce. He secretly leaves home for the mountains with a girl whom the lawyer randomly finds for him, in order to obtain a reason for the divorce...
