Arun, a married man, has an affair with Priya as he dislikes his wife Leelavathi, who is plain-looking and overweight. When she discovers Arun's affair, she plots with Dr. Sakthivel to win Arun back.

Ammu, a little girl, runs away from her bungalow as her stepmother physically tortures her. However, the girl finds love and solace in the arms of Kamala, a milk vendor.

They plow the land and uncover a large object carved with hideous figures.

Shankar, a budding singer loses his love, Gowri, who commits suicide. When Shankar turns famous, he eventually develops friendship with Surya, a college girl, who falls in love with him.

Angry, he ran with a stick in fire and he discovered Gayathri in fire at her house.Tamilarasi decides at any price to save Gopal before his death.

Thayama gets money from a landlord in order to save her husband and promises to give her child in return. Things turn for the worst when the rich man wants to marry off his daughter to Thayama's son.

Kamali loses her bag in the railway station. Later, her bag is sent to her home, along with a letter from Surya, who found it. Kamali and Surya send letters to each other and soon fall in love.
