Kongara Jaggayya

Lawyer Ganapathi and his wife Annapurna are the eldest members of a family. His brother Subbu and his wife Anusuya live in the village. The duo treats their cousin brother Gopu, who is an idealist, as their own sibling. Annapurna is a chronic patient so Gopu's wife Susheela takes care of the family. Jealous of the bonding between Annapurna and Susheela, Anusuya creates a rift between them. Gopu and Susheela move to the village. Gopu propounds cooperative farming and prospers.

Bhaskar (Akkineni Nageswara Rao) and Vasanti (B. Saroja Devi) are college mates who clash when she complains to the college principal about a love letter he sent her. Later on realizing her mistake, Vasanti apologizes to him and the two fall in love. Vasanti's elder sister, Geeta (Krishna Kumari), supports the family by stitching clothes.Bhaskar rents the room upstairs in their house. He falls ill and in nursing him, Geeta falls in love with him. She confides her love to Vasanti, who decides to sacrifice her love for her the sake of her sister and convinces Bhaskar to marry Geeta. Bhaskar initially neglects Geeta. On finding out, Vasanti writes to him that their sacrifice, made for Geeta's happiness, would mean nothing unless he is a good husband to Geeta. Bhaskar relents and Geeta and he have a son. Vasanti joins them and Geeta suspects that there is something on between Bhaskar and Vasanti and makes Vasanti leave the house.

Sanjeevi (Akkineni Nageswara Rao) and Archana (Jayasudha), a divorced couple meet just because of Sanjeevi's shares in Archana's company. This couple has a daughter called Krishna (Rajani), who lives with her mother without any freedom. Radha (Nandamuri Balakrishna) is Sanjeevi's sister's son, Sanjeevi, knowing that Archana is trying to get their daughter married to an Indian settled in America, tries to conduct Radha and Krishna's wedding. Maavari Manchitanam (transl. My Husband's Goodness) is a 1979 Indian Telugu-language drama film, produced by A. Pundarikakshaiah and directed by B. A. Subba Rao. It stars N. T. Rama Rao and Vanisri, with music composed by Master Venu. The film is a remake of the Hindi film Do Anjaane (1976), itself based on the novel Ratrir Yatri by Nihar Ranjan Gupta.

But the other villagers mistake him as being attracted to the dancer.

The story starts with a conflict between two villages Ramapuram and Raghavapuram for Lord Rama statues. In that conflict, Raja's father who is the president of Ramapuram has been killed by Govindaiah brother-Subbaramaiah. Taking into that mind Raja's elder brother Rangayya kills Subbaramaiah and is sentenced to jail. After few years, Raja falls in love with one of his colleague in college without knowing that she is Subbaramayya's daughter, her name is Vara Laxmi. But their love was accepted neither by Laxmi's brother Hari nor by Govindayya. The rest of the film is all about how Raja struggles to marry Lakshmi with creating the relationship between both the families.

After his wife's death, Madhu lives in a drunken stupor until Raja, a child with hearing and speech impairment, enters his life. But Raja's parents' murderers are searching for him to hide the truth.

Yedanthasthula Meda (transl. Seven Storied Building) is a 1980 Telugu-language drama film, produced under the Jhansi Enterprises banner and directed by Dasari Narayana Rao. It stars Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Sujatha, Jaya Sudha and music composed by Chakravarthy. The film was remade as Hindi movie Pyaasa Sawan (1981) and in Tamil as Maadi Veettu Ezhai (1981).
