Soldier Armenak is given an extraordinary task: to transport an elephant from Germany to the Yerevan Zoo.

Manas is hired to work for master Tatos till the spring, "when the cuckoo will call". There is one condition of the contract: if anyone of them gets annoyed with another, he loses everything. Unable to stand the day-and-night work for stingy master, Manas leaves without a pense of salary for months work. Next servant who knocks at Tatos's door is Manas's small brother, smart Simon.

Hrant is tailor at the fashion house Olimpia. He's a man of great generosity and kindness but has reputation of being strange. His great love for preserving the spirit of art pushes against the wills of Yerevan's various personalities, and conflicts against the set rules of society.

Seven convicts run away from a penal colony to a town destroyed by an earthquake in search of their relatives. An old captain goes after them with a two-day liberty order for each of them. But liberty in the destroyed world, permeated with the stench of corpses and perpetuities is no longer necessary. The film is about the on-going catastrophe of the human soul.

Unaware of the ongoing harvest, the State Dance Ensemble of Armenia ventures into a remote village. The concert is held only for one person - for Oskan.
