Krishna is a college student who is constantly rejecting girls who find him attractive. He eventuality falls in love with Meena, the daughter of a powerful woman. Vamsi, a television personality known as Love Boss, is called upon to assist Krishna with wooing Meena, while dealing with love troubles of his own.

The story is based on Indian historical events during the 16th century. It narrates the victory of Viswanatha Nayak on his father to express his devotion towards Srikrishnadevaraya. Viswanatha Nayak (Krishna) is the son of Nagama Nayak (Sivaji Ganesan), a successful General of Srikrishnadevaraya (Krishnam Raju) of the Vijayanagara Empire. Chola King Veerasekhara Chola invades the Madurai Kingdom and deposes the Pandya King Chandrasekhara Pandyan who was under the protection of Srikrishnadevaraya. Due to this, an enraged Srikrishnadevaraya sends Nagama Nayak to aid Chandrasekhara Pandyan. Nagama Nayak suppresses Veerasekhara Chola and takes Madurai, but then suddenly he calls off his allegiance and declining to help Chandrasekhara Pandyan usurps the throne. So, Viswanatha Nayak volunteers to face his father in the battlefield.

Shankar decides to leave behind his life as a gangster and lead a normal life. However, when his brother-in-law's life is at stake, he decides to rethink his decision.

The film begins with 3 happy bachelors Anand, Sudhakar, & Siva who share an apartment with frequent parties and flings. One day, a baby named Maya arrives on their doorstep with a note revealing she is the result of the perfidy of one of them. Then, Anand thinks back about his first love Sunita and they spent the night together. Later, Sunita misconstrues, loathes, and splits from Anand catching sight of his closeness with another girl. So, Anand declares Maya as his child. Accordingly, it forlorn the men to take care of the baby and attempts to dispose of her but fail as they are strongly correlated. Parallelly as a glimpse, Sudhakar & Siva love their neighbors Shanti a modern girl & Jyoti a widow respectively. Aside from this, a dreadful gangster Johnson smuggles precious diamonds on time which struck at Maya's cradle, and they back her.

The story of a war-hero who returns to his place only to find the society in a mess and tries to repair it in his own way and ends up getting hanged.
