A little boy and a story teller look into the microscope to find out that the world in a drop of a water looks like a real world, so they dive into it and meet different personalities, miracles and events.

The film tells about the everyday life of the Vilnius utility company. The main conflict in the film occurs between director Valaitis and chief engineer Butkus, who opposes the director’s working methods.

He struggles to bridge the gap between his horrific memories of the Holocaust and the mundane reality of his modern surroundings. While interacting with his daughter and old friends, he searches for a way to integrate his past trauma into a peaceful present.
