The plot of the movie is based on a real criminal case, when several years ago a gang of criminals killed prominent military leaders in order to steal their military awards. But the thief-recidivist nicknamed Valek manages to outplay the detective. Tagantsev's group will have to work hard to catch the recidivist in the city by the sea Yalta...

The movie takes place in the first post-war winter in the Ussuri taiga, one of the protected areas of the Far East, where there are still tigers. Young biologist Vasily Belov attracts local residents to his side and defeats poachers.

Inspector Sergey Baev arrives at a fishing collective farm for a new job and begins to fight poaching. This does not please both poachers and the head of the artel Fetisov. Having failed to reach a compromise solution, Fetisov sends the Ermakov brothers to "deal" with the new inspector. But the intervention of the police stops the fight, and the criminals receive the punishment they deserve.

At the end of September 1941, Soviet artillery troops in besieged Leningrad realize that pretty soon they will fire their last shot, and after that the defense of the city will be doomed. The film is based on a true event: a small group of fearless soldiers transported a large supply of gunpowder through enemy lines to Leningrad.

The movie intertwines the plot lines of the stories "In the Bathhouse", "Tears Invisible to the World", "A Conversation between a Man and a Dog" and others. By the will of the film's creators, the viewer gets to the rehearsals of an unusual choir and gets acquainted with the stories of the singers - diverse, but invariably amusing.

He escapes from many difficulties in order to find his beloved who also became trapped in a luxurious villa with some strange relatives. The people inside villa are vampires, they were called upyri in those days in Russia. They suck blood of anyone who comes to see them. The young man too much in love so he looses his head and goes directly to the nest of vampires.

The year is 1943. A scientific expedition led by Professor Sagdulaev is working in the Karakum sands. In the sands, not far from them, a German plane drops paratroopers disguised in Soviet military uniforms. The saboteurs have a mission: to take explosives hidden in the ruins of an old fortress and blow up the strategic bridge over the Amu Darya. The members of the expedition engage in an unequal battle with the enemies…
