Leopold the Cat is a Soviet/Russian animation series about the pacifistic, and intelligent cat, Leopold. Leopold always wears a bow tie even when swimming. He is always confronted by two mischievous mice, Grey and White. It was filmed by T/O Ekran in 1975 - 1987 and its runtime is 87 min. As of 1987, there were 11 episodes in total. Eventually, in 1995, most of the episodes were released on DVD. It was directed by Anatoly Reznikov, and the screenplay was written by Arkady Hayt. Boris Savelyev wrote the score. The cinematography was by Ernst Gaman, Igor Shkamarda, and Vladimir Milovanov. Nelli Kudrina did the sound. His catchphrase is - "Let's live in friendship, guys". The catchphrases of the mice are "Come out, Leopold!" by one and "Come out, you foul coward!" by the second.

An ironic animated cartoon about how a foolish Leopard searched for a home. All the animals in the forest have a shelter where they can hide from bad weather — each of them has a house. Only the Leopard had not acquired a dwelling; his cubs get wet in the rain, and his wife sends him off to find a home. In his search for shelter, the foolish Leopard ends up in absurd and funny situations until he realizes that a home must be built by oneself, not taken from someone else.

A bandit wearing a black mask, having shot the train, takes a bag of gold coins from the post car and hides on his horse. The bandit takes refuge in the ranch, driving out the farmer and his cow. The farmer and the cow leave for the nearest town. In the saloon, the farmer sees an announcement of a reward of one thousand coins for catching a bandit in a black mask. Then he tells local cowboys where the bandit is hiding. Cowboys go to catch a bandit, but they return back all wounded.
After another trick of mice, Leopold the Cat is visited by a dog doctor who prescribes him to take Ozirin to help him deal with mice. But Leopold doesn't follow the instructions and instead of taking one pill, as written in the prescription, he intakes the whole thing at once and goes wild.
About the importance of preserving forests.
An industrial communism society of 19 century launches a spaceship via a giant cannon. The ship should carry a man to the Moon but a trajectory was wrong and ship continues flight through space at speed of light. Then, ship hits a desert planet where a hero finds ruins of the cannon which launched his ship.
