Factory owner Nurettin Bey plans to make a profit by buying up land in a neighborhood that is set to become an industrial zone at a low price. However, Ayhan, the nephew of Kadir Ağa, a resident of the neighborhood, explains the situation to the residents. Nurettin Bey's plans are thwarted. Nurettin Bey decides to send his daughters to the neighborhood to publicize the matter to the media. Nurettin Bey's daughters disagree: Hülya learns of her father's plans and grows closer to Ayhan. Selma, however, sides with her father and tries to win over Ayhan's cousin Turan. Turan testifies against Ayhan in exchange for the money offered to him. Ayhan is labeled a bribe-taker in the neighborhood. Uncovering the truth will be difficult.
The state has seized the land stolen by Mask, a notorious and ruthless bandit. Mask cannot accept the loss of his land and plans to eliminate the sheriffs involved in the matter. After raiding the deputy sheriff's house and killing him, Mask tasks his brother with killing the sheriff. Mask's brother goes to the sheriff's farm and gets into a fight with the sheriff, during which he is killed. Mask is now thoroughly hostile toward the sheriff. Mask pursues the sheriff and raids the farm. A fierce battle erupts at the farm. The sheriff arrives at the scene and arrests Mask. A trial is immediately convened at the farmhouse, and Mask is sentenced to death.
After returning home, Haluk, who has lived abroad for years, begins to tutor sixteen-year-old Ümran and tells her a story from years ago. Ümran thinks that it is a story about something else, but the story concerns her closely.

Thus begins their relationship, which eventually turns into love.
