After having spent 22 months in prison, Viktor Pálos returns to his homeland, where he is going to be involved in the robbery committed by his relatives.
The subject of this film is Dr. Ivan Egry, a young man, who becomes infatuated with Edit Ralben, the beautiful, but flirtatious, daughter of a prominent man. As the two get involved romantically, problems start to plague their relationship. When they end up separating, Ivan finds comfort with Josza, a pretty girl, much more stable than Edit, but far less glamorous. When Edit eventually re-enters Ivan’s life, he can’t resist her. Unable to resolve his conflicting emotions results in an abruptly tragic finale.
The ancient families of Kont and Hadhazy have long been at war with each other. Lord Cont is a supporter of Vienna's rule, while Hadhazy is a follower of the Hungarian revolutionary Kossuth. Lord plans to fight Hadhazy at an approaching county meeting. Vicky, the beautiful and savvy daughter of Hadhazy's family, just before this, returns home from a Swiss boarding school for young girls, expelled because of her behavior. Vicky, dressed in a man's costume, goes to defend her father and with the honor of a nobleman fights the young scion of a family hostile to her. The young man's name is Feri Kont, and he mistakes the young man's introduction to Vicky for her brother Kalman Hadhazy. The political conflicts between the two families are mitigated by love complications. A misunderstanding at a county ball is brought to light, and the two warring camps are reconciled through the love of Vicky and Feri.
Pista Dankó falls in love with Ilonka Jáky, the beautiful blonde lady, so his old love, Rózsi, the wild gypsy girl, puts a curse on him. Ilonka elopes with Pista and they marry. They live in difficult circumstances, but Lajos Pósa takes up the talented young man. Pista wants to recover his legendary violin, which has fallen into the possession of a Russian prince, so he goes on a tour of Russia. Here he meets Rózsi, who has become a famous dancer and now has a hold on him too. Meanwhile, Pista falls ill and returns home to die. In his last hours, a package arrives from Rosie. He plays his last song with the returned violin.
The protagonist of the story is Flora, a teacher who wants to teach in the village, in accordance with her vocation and her oath. Her beauty and purity bring her into conflict with the local authorities and with the landowning family of the countryside. Aware of her truth, she defies them, but can only count on the sympathy of the old priest. István Nagy Jr., the idle, dissolute landowner's son, falls in love with Flóra, and love changes him: he takes her side, exposing the lecherous hypocrites.
dr. Benedek Gábor, a famous solicitor in Eger, is the defense counsel of a murderer, who killed his wife out of jealousy. Gábor lives in a happy marriage with Anna. One day, however, Szentgyörgyi Péter, a famous pianist, comes to Eger. He once was loved by Anna, who in those days was training to become an artist herself. Gábor has no knowledge of these events of the past. He, therefore, associates the now renewed relationship with the story of the murderer he is the legal representative of.

Set in the early 19th century, the story revolves around Timar (Ferenc Kiss), a ferryman on a Danish tugboat. Rescuing the daughter (Marisa Kormos) of a Turkish nobleman from a watery grave, Timar is rewarded with the girl's hand in marriage. Now rich beyond his wildest dreams, our hero finds he is unsatisfied; it seems he has never forgotten his true love, flower girl Noemi (Anna Fuzes). Timar is forced to suffer mightily until he is finally permitted a tender reunion with the girl of his dreams.

Two girls compete for the attention of Gyula Kopácsi, the railway traffic controller: Jolán, the postal clerk, and the pastor's daughter, Sárika. Jolán's mother spreads rumors during the rehearsal of the performance that Kopácsi has already proposed to her daughter, even though he's actually leaning towards Sárika. However, at the celebration, Sárika and Sámson notice each other...

Iván Berend works with all his skills in the coal mine he inherited from his father. Fate brings him to fall in love with the beautiful Evila, the daughter of one of the miners. To defeat his opponent, he comes up with a cunning plan. He takes Evila with him to the Austrian capital, then opens the new mine, luring Berend's best colleagues to him with a little more money. Kato is looking for a husband for her sisters so that she can marry. Mari helps her as a counsellor, but all their attempts end in scandal. Kato is left to focus on his own happiness. She is in love with Baron Koltay, but he also wants to win the hand of the actress Palma Nusi. Kató pretends to be Koltay's sister and wins Nusi's trust. The Baron soon forgets Nusi and falls in love with Kato. A tangle of lies and deceit finally leads Koltay and Kato to marriage.
