Documentary with animated sequences about that massive Hungarian exodus to the US which went on from the end of 19th century till the outbreak of WW1. The history of the nameless crowds presented in the film submerged under the surface of official history.

Whispered to by an ancient tree, a young shepherd dreams of more than his simple existence among grass and sheep. The journey he embarks on brings him into contact with golden birds, a dragon and a fair damsel.

Dedicated to the memory of Fritz Lang, this rarely seen late short from Sándor Reisenbüchler offers up an eye-popping ecological vision. Moving from frantic cityscapes bursting with lurid colours and a phantasmagoria of commodities to idyllic pastoral scenes, Ecotopia combines Reisenbüchler’s talent as a painter with his love of collage to skewer consumerism in the post-communist nineties.

Well-known, unknown and forgotten faces from all over the ages are rolling by in some very short minutes.

The heroes of fairy tales and myths and fairy tale props appear in the film.

The film is a tribute to etnographer Zsuzsanna Erdélyi ethnographer, who collected archaic folk prayers. Through animation, the prayers are brought to life.
