Cher Watanabe (渡部 チェル, Watanabe Cheru, born April 1, 1968) is a Japanese composer, arranger, and keyboardist born in Tokyo. His real name is Tatsuya Watanabe (渡部 達也, Watanabe Tatsuya). He is also known as WATA-BOO. Besides being a support musician for other bands, he also composes and arranges songs in a wide range of genres, always trying to explore new genres. After college, he was a support musician for the band JADOES. After that, he was a member of the jazz rock band SOH BAND and the progressive rock band NOA. Since 2010, he collaborated as a support member on keyboards with the fusion band Prism, which he admired since his school days; in August 2013 he joined the band as a permanent member.

As well, they have to deal with personal issues, such as parental objections, and watching their old bands succeed ahead of them. Sakuya is the most troubled band member, as he has to deal with his tragic past, and his relationship with teenaged lyricist Aine.

Its story is set in Aikatsu Planet, a world where everyone can become cute idols using an avatar. While spending school life, the main characters are aiming to become top idols. Everyday parts such as the main character's school life will be filmed in live-action, and the Aikatsu Planet! world will be drawn in anime and 3DCG (like the previous series). The live-action part's cast members will form a unit "STARRY PLANET*" and perform as idols at events and on YouTube. A new Data Carddass game linked to the TV series, "Data Carddass Aikatsu Planet!" is also scheduled to begin its service this winter.
