Hussein Azhdan lives by his family in peace, until he meets Shabnam, and a romance is emerged between the two. A wicked man, Jalal, is against their love. Jalal creates many obstacles on their way; for instance, he wrongly accuses Hussein Azhdan of bribery. Hussein Azhdan, who has been abandoned his family to be with his love, does his best to remove the obstacles on his way. Nevertheless, Shabnam selflessly forgets about herself and asks Hussein Azhdan to go back and live by his own family.

Dash Akol is greatly respected in Shiraz as an honorable man who has lost his family's money through helping his friends. He has an enemy, however, named Kaka Rostam, a mean and spiteful person. Dash Akol, who is in his forties, falls in love with Marjan, daughter of the late Haji Samad, for whose estate he is the executor. But he keeps his love secret. One day a suitor asks for Marjan's hand, and Dash Akol considers it against his code of honor to refuse. On the night of the wedding, Dash Akol hands over responsibility for the family to the bridegroom. As he is leaving the house, however, Kaka Rostam is waiting for him and a fight ensues. Kaka Rostam stabs him in the back, but Dash Akol succeeds in killing him. On his deathbed, Dash Akol sends his parrot to Marjan with the confession of love he has taught it.

Rashid and his accomplice steal the jewelry of a paralyzed woman, who is killed during the incident. Rashid hides the jewelry in an abandoned mine and takes refuge in a cabin in the forest, where two fugitives—Hamed and Nazi—are living. Someone informs the fugitives that the police are searching for the jewel thief. Hamed becomes suspicious of Rashid and suggests they split the stolen jewelry and escape together...

Reza Motori, who has feigned madness, escapes from an asylum and robs a factory, with the aid of a friend. Meanwhile, Reza assumes the identity of the writer. Reza falls in love with the writer's fiancée and decides to give up the money he has stolen from the factory, but his friends prevent him from doing so.

Four men: Akbar, a taxi driver, Mansour, a government employee, Mustafa, a boxer, and Qasem, a smuggler, return a man's stolen wallet, and the man issues a check for forty thousand tomans in their names as a reward. The next day is a holiday, and they, who do not trust each other, move into Mansour's house. Mansour lives with his wife and daughter Marzieh, and Mustafa falls in love with the girl, who has already been deceived. Mustafa defeats his opponent in the Asian qualifying match, which is held on Friday. In the meantime, Qasem arranges with his friends to be ready on Saturday when the check is collected and to steal the wallet. Qasem's accomplices intervene, and Mansour is killed in a fight with Qasem's bullets. Qasem is arrested, and Mansour, at the last moment, hands his daughter over to Mustafa.

Maryam, Morteza's wife, does not have children. Jalal is thinking of acquiring his wealth and to achieve his goal, he introduces a girl named Homa to Jalal. Morteza gradually falls in love with Homa and marries her.

Ghalandar feels bothered by the suitors wooing for his sister Eshrat. But for a secret reason he does not want to marry her off. As a way out, he asks his trusted friend Sadegh to marry his sister, but warns him about making love with her. Sadegh tries to keep his promise, but when he leaves his wife immediately after the wedding ceremony for the capital, Eshrat follows and joins him and his mother. Unable to bear with the taunts of mother, Sadegh eventually breaks his oath and takes his legal wife to bed. Informed of this betrayal, Ghalandar waylays Sadegh at a dark night and stabs him to death. Eshrat, suspecting who is behind this murder, flees and joins a whorehouse, intent to exact her revenge by staining the name of his so-far respectable brother...
