Reine is supposed to go to a summer camp called Children's Island but decides to remain in Stockholm over the summer while his mother is working at a hospital. She thinks he is at the camp, and he tells her he is. We then follow him around Stockholm that summer and see what he encounters on the path of life.

"Pig Hunt" - Lennart Siljeberg works at the Cattle Inspection Agency. He is the perfect bureaucrat, always careful and pedantic. The agency's latest mission is to extinguish all pigs on the island of Gotland. However, for some unexplainable reason, the local farmers use violence to destroy the agency's work.

Ewa works as a translator. She gives private english lessons and lives alone, but has a strong bond with her parents and sister Joanna. One day she got a package from her former boyfriend Eryk who writes her that he’s starting a journey. Reading his notes Ewa starts to think that description of his journey is chronicle of Eric’s sickness and depression and all of his story is fiction.

Set in the WWII era, the story tells of a boy in a small village who befriends three girls around his age. One day he discovers a young couple sneaking into an old and cracked bathing shack and decides to alert his new friends. When the kids join up at the shack, the eldest girl comes up with the idea to lock the couple inside, threatening not to let them out until they "do it" and allow the kids to watch from the outside. And so begins the psychological warfare...

"Crocodile tears" - Fellowship is replaced by suspicion and hatred in a Stockholm suburb. Wheelchair-bound retiree Hugo lives with his wife and his mentally unstable son.
