Desanka tells him why she is crying. She is lonely and looking for true love. Ljubinko tries to cheer her up. Ljubinko and Desanka are joined by August, or as he calls himself "Stupid August". He makes Desanka laugh even more. Then the waiter joins them. The conversations last a long time.
