1989-1990. General Secretary of the CPSU Mikhail Gorbachyov begins global transformations in the USSR. He passionately wants to become a star in world politics and for this he is ready to go as far as he can to meet the West. But the perestroika planned by Gorbachyov leads to fatal, irreversible consequences. Intelligence officer Alexander Nechaev finds himself at the center of an operation organized by the intelligence services of several countries. During the months spent in Berlin at the moment of the breakdown of the entire post-war world order, Nechaev changed a lot. He no longer knows who is a friend and who is a traitor, but continues to defend the honor and interests of his Motherland...

Peter Kratov is a former military surgeon, a luminary of medicine. A former respected member of society, a former exemplary family man. Now Peter works as a paramedic in the ambulance brigade, and lives in the house of his eldest son Victor, the head of the department for combating drug trafficking. Victor, out of a sense of filial duty, pulled his father out of the bottom, paid for treatment at a clinic for addiction, settled in, and found a job for his father through friends.

A detachment of young fighters of the Russian Army breaks away from the main formation during a march, in order to shorten the path, runs across, but gets into a fog that takes him back to the past, during the Great Patriotic War. The guys who saw the war only in the movies fall into the clutches of the ruthless events of that time. Everything is on the edge: bravery, fear, love, hate, life, death. And there's no time to ask questions. Live, fight for the Motherland – it is one for all time.

Present time. A squad of young soldiers of the Russian army during the march-throw splits from the main group. In order to save time, they decide to cut the path, but get into the strange fog, which transfers them to the past, right into the World War the Second. Boys, who saw fight only in the movies, and imagined it on the training field, get into the heart of the real WAR. Real courage, real fear, real love and hate, and real DEATH. No time to ask questions. Survive and fight for your country!
